A
Minute With Stan Hooper - Wednesday 8:30 p.m.
In an attempt to broaden its comedy image, Fox is introducing
"A Minute With Stan Hooper," the story of an on-air
newsmagazine commentator (Norm Macdonald) who decides to shift
gears and move with his wife to the small town of Waterford
Falls, Wisconsin. Current Emmy nominee Fred Willard ("Everybody
Loves Raymond") is featured as the local cheese mogul.
Although you have to give the network credit for trying something
out of the ordinary -- and the "Green Acres"-like
humor is very unusual for them -- you have to wonder what will
happen to this comedy after "American Idol" returns
to the time period in midseason. Given the inevitable, it looks
like we'll only get to spend a minute with Stan Hooper. |
