Although lead-in "Enterprise" promises to be creatively
re-tooled next season, given the competition ("The Bachelor,"
"Frasier," "The Guardian," "Bernie
Mac" and "Angel") and UPN's failed track record
in the time period ("The Twilight Zone" was the latest
victim, "Special Unit 2" was one year earlier), don't
anticipate much of a future for "Jake 2.0." To make
matters even worse, fans interested in science fiction will
probably seek out the WB's "Angel" now that parent
show "Buffy, the Vampire Slayer" is history. Nice
try, but no ratings dice. |
